‘Where is free market, classical liberal thinking today?’

Date: 28th of November 2025
Venue: Vinson Auditorium, Vinson Building, University of Buckingham

2025-Policy-Conference

Last year’s conference brought together leading economists, academics, and policy experts (including panelists such as Dr Gerard Lyons, Dr Andrew Lilico, and Lord Sandhurst) to examine the state of free-market and classical-liberal thinking today, with the goal of producing practical policy proposals.
The event featured four themed panels:
Microeconomics: Pro-growth tax and regulatory changes and supply-side liberalisation
Macroeconomics: Fiscal and monetary policy in the post-Budget landscape
Institutions: Why governments struggle to reform, and strategies to overcome barriers to change
Law and Economics: How legal frameworks influence competition, equality, and overall economic outcomes
